Strategic workshop: The possible contribution of Network 23 to the EU accession

The European Policy Institute and the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights organized a strategic workshop titled “The possible contribution of Network 23 to the EU accession” on 5th and 6th of July in Hotel Radika, Mavrovo.

Representatives from the organizations part of the Network 23, as well as representatives from the Secretariat for European Affairs and the ministries for justice and foreign affairs participated at this strategic workshop. The main goal of the workshop was to prepare Network 23 for increased influence in the next steps in the accession process and to raise the capacities of the civil society organizations for an effective contribution to the negotiation process.

At the first day of the workshop, Gorica Atanasova Gjorevska from MFA, Biljana Stojanoska Dochinski from SEA and Bojana Bosilkova from MJ presented the dynamics of the negotiation process and the need for contributions from the civil society.

The second day of the workshop was dedicated to the development of the EU and the requirements of the accession process, as well as to the EU Acquis for the Chapter 23 and the role of Network 23 in the negotiations.

This workshop was organized as part of the project “Network 23 – Networking for impact (NETWIT 23)” financed by the Balkan Trust for Democracy and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade.
