On 15th of September 2016 (Thursday), the Initial Conference of the project “Justice: Governance for growth MoNiTor – JudGMeNT”, financially supported of Regional Cooperation Council.
The aim of this conference was to present the project to the public and to open initial discussion on the areas covered with the SEE 2020 Strategy: quality, competence and efficiency of the judges and the judiciary; judicial cooperation for access to information, cross-border enforcement and cross-border proceedings in bankruptcy and take-over and mergers, and alternative dispute resolutions.
For each of the mentioned areas, introductory notes were prepared by the representative of the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors, foreign relations experts and active mediators. The Conference was attended by representatives of the institutions, civil society organizations, scholars and the media. This activity was also intended to raise the awareness about the importance of the SEE 2020 Strategy implementation.
SEE 2020 Strategy is focused on creating jobs through increased regional cooperation and represents very important step towards the EU integration process of the region.
